Tina E. Albright

Tina, who is Senior Counsel with the firm, counsels wealthy individuals, their advisors and fiduciaries on international tax and cross-border estate planning matters including:

  • U.S. wealth transfer tax planning
  • International estate planning with a focus on US - UK planning for US persons living, working and/or investing in the UK and UK persons living, working and/or investing in the US
  • Pre-immigration planning for non-US persons who anticipate becoming resident in the US, including advising on personal and wealth structures to minimize US taxes
  • International probate and estate administration with a focus on US - UK matters including coordinating treaty position and foreign tax credits
  • US taxation and reporting with respect to non-US trusts and their US beneficiaries
  • Expatriation from the US including representation before the State Department and IRS

Prior to joining the firm in 2004, Tina worked over 10 years for Withers LLP, a London based private client firm, in its London, England and US offices.  Tina graduated with a B.A. in Economics and Urban Affairs from Hunter College.  She received her J.D., with honors, from Boston University School of Law and her L.L.M in Taxation from New York University School of Law.  Tina is a Registered Foreign Lawyer with the Law Society of England and Wales and licensed in the State of New York and the State of Connecticut.  Tina is a member of the New York Branch of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP) and serves on the STEP Directory and Yearbook Editorial Board for the United States.  She is also a member of the International Bar Association, the Estate Planning Council of New York, and the American Bar Association.
