Brian J. Feldman

Brian, who is Of Counsel to the Firm, focuses his practice on tax disputes and tax litigation.  He has extensive litigation experience in the federal tax arena, and has tried jury and non-jury cases in federal courts.

Before becoming Of Counsel to the Firm, Brian was a Senior Trial Attorney in the United States Department of Justice, Tax Division, where he was lead counsel for many of the Tax Divisions most complex, large dollar cases.  While with the Department of Justice, Brian was a 3-time recipient of the Tax Divisions Outstanding Attorney Award.  He also served as a Reviewer where he supervised the litigation work of approximately 30 other trial attorneys.  Prior to joining the Department of Justice, Brian worked as a Certified Public Accountant/Attorney for Price Waterhouse in Washington, D.C.

Brian received his B.S. degree from Pennsylvania State University, his J.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and M.A. from John Hopkins University.  He is licensed in the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania and Maryland and is admitted to appear before the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Brian was elected in 2002 to serve in the Maryland House of Delegates and re-elected to a second term in 2006. He is the Chair of the Montgomery County House Delegation and Chair of the House Subcommittee on Banking, Economic Development, Science and Technology.
