Our
Role as Special Counsel
We are often asked to serve as counsel to a client who is already well
represented by one or more law firms or lawyers, but who now needs the
benefit of a “second opinion” on a difficult tax question, or
representation in litigation, or a plan to address wealth management
issues that are within our special competence and experience.
We are quite pleased to work as special counsel to meet those needs without
seeking to displace or otherwise compete with existing client-attorney
relationships. Some of our most successful representations
have involved working along side, or under the general supervision of,
other attorneys who maintain the primary relationship with the client.
We have enjoyed those opportunities since we ourselves benefit from that
experience. It enriches our own practice to be able to develop
strong working relationships with other lawyers and law firms.
